Innervision- Gouache Exhibition by Peng Yusin

'2024 Taichung Artists Relay Exhibition: Innervision – Gouache Exhibition by Peng Yusin' is on display at Huludun Cultural Center from now until August 11. Peng Yusin, currently specializes in gouache paintings, but once engaged in mechanical systems drawing and graphic design, which serve as a solid foundation in aesthetics and composition. Out of her love for art, Peng obtained a master’s degree from the Department of Fine Arts, Tunghai University. As a result of the painstaking efforts she devotes toward her craft, her works have achieved various accolades including recognition at the National Art Exhibition, Central Art Exhibition, and Yushan Awards.
This year, Peng was selected to participate in the Taichung Artists Relay Exhibition with works themed on “image of the heart”. By centering her creations in heaven, earth, and the universe while simultaneously integrating her personal conception of space and the environment, she manages to convey the harmonious beauty of nature to viewers.This exhibition is centered on landscapes of the heart, looking for creative contexts and directions within the universe and nature in an exploration of the past, present, and future.
Peng excels at utilizing light, shadow, and color to express a sense of poetic ambiguity in her art, showcasing a variety of textures through the use of mineral pigments. Viewing Peng’s works allows one to experience spiritual calm alongside a surge of deep-hearted optimism. The trees, fish, morning mist, and dawn depicted in the exhibited pieces, for example, all suggest the notion that maintaining a firm belief will eventually lead to a bright future. At the same time, these elements also serve to pique the viewer’s interest in the growing environment. This exhibition will provide a comprehensive interpretation of Peng’s recent gouache pieces.
