Chiu Chiao-Ni’s solo exhibition “Color Palette” in the “14th Taichung Artists Relay Exhibition” showcases her outstanding achievements in watercolor. As an up-and-coming artist who has won countless awards in Taiwan and abroad, Chiu excels at combining automatism techniques and highly saturated colors to deconstruct and restructure moving chapters from her memories. Her powerful visuals and composition leave a lasting impression on the viewers, stimulating more inspiration and imagination upon closer appreciation.
Chiu bases her works on everyday experiences, integrating a variety of techniques and design concepts to present her works in a more diverse way. Viewing Ms. Chiu Chiao-ni's paintings is like entering a time-travel tunnel, with serene ecological landscapes, old house spaces that tell stories, flora and fauna, and abstract symbols, all rich in content and uniquely expressed. The exhibition allows viewers to experience the ingenious combination of elements like abstract symbols, saturated colors, spatial overlaps, and memories presented in her works. The deconstruction and reconstruction of these elements are woven together to form characteristics of figurative art, creating a visual feast for the audience.
Chiao-Ni's works offer viewers a tranquil sanctuary of art where they can escape from a noisy mind. The exhibition title, " Palette", not only refers to the paint on paper, but also the medium that carries the weight of Chiao-Ni’s life, guiding the audience to discover their own peaceful inner world. It represents her dedication to her dreams and the artistic journey she continues to weave.
This exhibition is not only a summary of Chiao-Ni's works in recent years, but also a rich presentation of her artistic ideas. These works prompt the audience to ponder the metaphysical meaning of art and how art can become sustenance for the soul in this colorful world, leading us to deeper self-exploration. This exhibition is not only a visual feast, but also an enlightening journey deep in the soul. We are pleased to invite you to appreciate them for yourself.
