14th Taichung City Artists Relay Exhibition: There is great beauty in heaven and earth-Yuan Chih-jin's Ink Painting Exhibition

Ink painter Yuan Chih-jin is a graduate of National Taiwan University of Arts' Graduate Institute of Painting and Calligraphy. She has served as a lecturer at National Chung Hsing University, Zhongtai University and Chaoyang University of Technology, and as an ink painting teacher at the Dadun Cultural Center and Taichung City Government Cultural Affairs Bureau. Devoted to promoting painting and calligraphy education, Yuan's works are deeply rooted in her family's scholarly background. From an early age, she immersed herself in poetry and calligraphy. This renowned ink painter, known for her immersive depictions of nature, now presents a collection of works inspired by mountains, rivers, flowers and personal emotions. With her dynamic style, Yuan captures the essence of the natural world, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in her artistic vision.
Yuan has been practicing calligraphy and painting for over four decades and has a deep foundation in calligraphy. This time, Yuan has been selected to participate in the relay exhibition, which centers around the theme “Immeasurable Beauty of Nature.” The pieces selected for Immeasurable Beauty in the World bear witness to Chih-jin’s sophisticated ink painting. They embody her spirit and personality, as well as demonstrate her vivacity. Her agile and free brushstrokes depict her insights on the world around her, full of artistic taste. The exhibition integrates both tradition and innovative subject matter, bringing a different ink painting experience to the audience. For example, “Majestic Mist—Iguazu Falls,” a large-scale artwork exceeding three meters in length, depicts the waterfall cascading from above, presenting a vista of magnificence. The artwork "Metaverse" adopts futuristic hues to render a virtual universe. Additionally, there are many more heartwarming creations. We invite everyone to come and appreciate these artworks.
