Huludun Cultural Center takes the lead in the country in electronically digitizing explanation cards for exhibition works.
Date:2024-01-08
In response to green environmental protection, energy conservation and sustainability, the Taichung City Government has led the country in introducing an electronic paper system at the Huludun Cultural Center, changing the current paper explanation cards for exhibition works into electronic explanation cards. While promoting art and culture, it can also be used in practical ways.
Huludun Cultural Center pointed out that at present, art exhibition work description cards are usually printed on paper and adhered to pearl boards with adhesive backing and attached to the wall. The production process is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and pearl board is a non-environmentally friendly recycled material, which can easily cause environmental burdens. After switching to electronic instruction cards, you can use computers to edit them through the Internet, which greatly reduces paper usage and saves manpower and material resources for exhibition installation. Exhibit information can also be updated in real time.
In addition, the electronic instruction card only uses power at the moment of data update, without consuming a lot of electricity. The button battery can last for up to 5 years, promoting sustainable use of resources. Currently, Huludun Cultural Center is exhibiting "Fantasy Moon's Cute & Ferocious Beasts — Moon's Gouache Exhibition ", which for the first time uses electronic instruction cards for 33 works.
Huludun Cultural Center pointed out that energy-saving and environmentally friendly technology has developed rapidly in recent years, and electronic paper technology has gradually been widely used in corporate product labeling and service systems. Huludun Cultural Center took the lead in demonstrating the use of electronic instruction cards to make exhibit information display clear, concise, and visually friendly, low energy consumption and flexible mobility, it also echoes the spirit of SDGs to mitigate climate change, conserve the natural environment, and improve global energy efficiency.
