Even a Musical Prodigy Has a Creative Blackout?! Mozart’s Secret Comes to Huludun on April 19 with Tickets from NT$100
Date:2026-04-10
What happens when even a musical genius runs into a “creative blackout”? One of the most anticipated family programs of the 2026 Huludun Art Festival, Myth Planet Theater Company’s musical Mozart’s Secret, will make a heartwarming appearance at the Huludun Cultural Center on April 19 (Sunday). This musical theater production, which combines live classical music, theatrical performance, and interactive experiences, will lead children and adults alike into a fantasy journey of “finding inspiration and finding oneself”.
The Huludun Cultural Center stated that Myth Planet Theater Company is composed of classical musicians and theater creators and is committed to promoting the idea of “bringing opera into everyday life”. Since its founding in 2018, the company has toured productions throughout Taiwan, opening the door for children to engage with the arts in a relaxed and enjoyable way, and has become an emerging group that has attracted much attention in the family arts scene in recent years. This family musical, Mozart’s Secret, cleverly incorporates classic excerpts of classical music. Through live performance and dramatic settings, it allows children to “see the story with their ears and hear the music with their eyes”, overturning the sense of distance often associated with classical music.
Mozart’s Secret tells the story of the musical prodigy Mozart, whose creative inspiration suddenly disappears! In his distress, a crisp birdsong unexpectedly lights up a melody, but also causes the crucial “source of inspiration” to fly away. Thus begins a city adventure in search of musical notes and inner voices. The audience will follow Mozart through the streets of Vienna, piecing together fragments of melody step by step amid laughter and music. The greatest highlight of the production lies in breaking the framework in which “the audience is merely a viewer”. Through its interactive design, children will think and respond together with the characters and experience an immersive musical adventure.
Tickets for Mozart’s Secret are affordably priced from NT$100 (Culture Points applicable) to NT$400, and are now on sale through OPENTIX. In addition, to celebrate Children’s Day in April, the outdoor plaza will host “Arts Together Play: Amazing Diabolo Skills & Sichuan Opera Face-Changing” on the afternoon of Saturday, April 11. The event will present the beauty of diabolo through the integration of traditional folk arts with modern art, gymnastics, and modern technology, together with a stunning visual feast of rapidly changing face makeup patterns. Families and members of the public are invited to attend free of charge.
