When AI Meets Fairy Tales: Children's Play “The Perfect AI Project” Premieres at Huludun Cultural Center!
Date:2025-06-13
What kind of sparks fly when technology meets fairy tales? Tanghulu Theater Group from Huludun Elementary School proudly presents its grand annual original children’s play, The Perfect AI Project. This whimsical adventure blends elements of fairy tales with reflections on future technology. The production will make its highly anticipated debut on the evening of Friday, July 25, at the Huludun Cultural Center. Through the eyes of children, the play uses humor to explore the topic of artificial intelligence and employs storytelling to rethink the true meaning of “people-centered.”
According to the Huludun Cultural Center, Tanghulu Theater Group is one of the few student theater groups in Taiwan centered on collaborative creation between teachers and students. The group has consistently earned top honors in the National Student Competition of Creative Drama Art. From character development and scriptwriting to stage language, every aspect is initiated by the students, guided by their teachers, and shaped through improvisational rehearsals. This process not only fosters creativity but also encourages education and reflection on contemporary social issues. Each performance becomes a realization of growth and dreams.
The Perfect AI Project begins with the grand AI Super Competition organized by the Dreamy AI Corporation. The two teams of contestants are transported into classic fairy tale worlds—such as Aladdin, Snow White, and Beauty and the Beast—with the mission of correcting the characters’ personality flaws to create the “Perfect AI.” However, as AI begins to interfere with the emotions and relationships within these stories, unexpected changes unfold. Can human emotions truly be replicated by technology? Can friendship be accurately predicted by algorithms? Skillfully blending humor with suspense, the play provokes deep reflection on the ethical implications of technology and the value of human nature.
The production incorporates music, dance, improvisation, and interactive elements to explore a central ethical question of the AI era: Can technology solve all problems? Set within a world of innocence and imagination, the play invites children to join the characters in search of the answer. Ticket prices are NT$100, NT$150, and NT$200, with designated youth seating available. Perfect for family audiences, this performance offers both whimsical adventure and thoughtful reflection, marking the beginning of a culturally enriching summer experience. Tickets are available through the OPENTIX ticketing platform: https://www.opentix.life/event/1925746417896226817.
