A Choral Welcome to Spring and a Magical Crystal Bubble Show – Free Admission!

In March, the Huludun Cultural Center will host two exciting performances. This Saturday, March 8, the Taichung City Huludun Philharmonic Choir will celebrate International Women's Day with "Ode to Spring," featuring four-part choral renditions of popular songs such as "Four Seasons Ballad," "Do You Still Remember," and "Looking Back," welcoming the warm days of spring. On March 29, "Huludun Street Art Camera!" will present a magical and joyful crystal show and bubble show, both available for free viewing. The public is invited to come and experience the unique charm of Taiwanese arts and culture!
The Huludun Cultural Center announced that the renowned Taichung City choir, the "Huludun Philharmonic, established 30 years ago with the support of the Huludun Cultural Center during the era of Taichung County. This choir is composed of retired professionals from various fields in the Fengyuan District. They showcase their musical talents and passion, winning awards in domestic choral competitions and receiving high praise for their performances abroad. The members have practiced together for decades, fostering strong emotional bonds and delivering exceptional performances, which has earned them a distinguished reputation as a senior choir within the arts community.
Senior choir member Wei Chaoling, at the age of 90, has a rich and vibrant life experience. After retiring, he continued to pursue learning and has shown a strong commitment to public service, serving as a Japanese language teacher and volunteer guide. He even obtained a motorcycle license at the age of 79, showcasing his passion for music and zest for life. Conductor Wu Yihong has performed in over 400 shows without missing a single one and is currently dedicated to teaching vocal techniques in community singing classes.
Additionally, on March 29, the outdoor plaza event "Huludun Street Art Camera!" showcased street performer Peter Wu, the leader of the "Illusion Art" troupe. He captivated the audience with a mesmerizing performance featuring a transparent crystal ball that floated gracefully up and down, accompanied by rhythmic music. The act included a combination of intricate cube formations and interactive stunts. Furthermore, performer Miao Ke delighted spectators by creating large, dense bubbles and an enchanting display of bubble rain, offering a dreamy visual spectacle and engaging interactions. This event invited families to come together and enjoy a warm and pleasant spring afternoon.
